Book Covers

I redesigned book covers for It Ends With Us, It Starts With Us, and All Your Perfects by Colleen Hoover, focusing on combining strong visual storytelling with clear, modern typography. I began with a range of initial sketches to explore composition, hierarchy, and symbolic directions, basing each concept on the book’s title and core themes. I then developed the final covers using my own photography to create imagery that matched the emotional tone of each story. Working primarily in Photoshop, I combined and layered multiple photos, broke apart and reassembled imagery, and adjusted color and contrast to build depth while maintaining readability. I finalized cohesive front, spine, and back layouts to create a unified set with distinct moods for each title. This project strengthened my skills in concept development, using original photography in design, and building a cover system that stays impactful in both print and thumbnail formats.
